Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
